I purchased several Superchic Lacquer polishes quite a long time ago and I’ve just gotten around to my stamping polish review. Actually, these are regular polishes that happen to work well as stamping polishes, but let’s take a look at how they stamp.
Superchic Lacquer Stamping Polish Review
The photos will speak for themselves, but YES I love these Superchic Lacquer polishes for stamping. These are specifically from the Superchic Urban Dictionary collection. Each collection has slightly different holo properties so watch for that. I think the newer version have some silver flakies in them which should likely just make them better stamping polishes.
Overall, they are really easy to work with. I used a variety of stampers and plates to test and were fine to use with these polishes. Although all of these swatches specifically show BBF stamping plate images. Drying time, scraping, transferring is much the same as standard quality creme stamping polishes.
I happen to hate them as regular polishes because they chip quite a bit within hours. Superchic Lacquers are also quite expensive – $14 a bottle. Honestly, if you are looking for some holo stamping polishes, look into Color Club Halo Hues first. I prefer the Halo Hues because they are easy to find and can cost as little as $6 a piece if you catch a sale from one of the many distributors. However, the Halo Hues can be slightly harder to use because they dry really quickly and work best with deeply etched plates because they are lighter on pigment. Although Halo Hues also work much better as base colors (no immediate chipping).
